From the owners of the award-winning, fine dining Indian restaurant The Mint Room, in Bath and Bristol, comes a new casual dining Indian concept, Sholay Indian Kitchen.
Let us take you on a culinary tour of Indian street food, in our new home at Cargo 2, Whapping Warf.
You'll get to choose from two small plates from the six on offer, whether it be our Garlic and Spinach Bhaji, our Masalay Ki Machil (Tawa grilled salmon), or our famous Sholay Chaat.
Next up are the large plates which include our acclaimed Kati Rolls, Tawa lamb kebabs and Dhai Baingan (baby aubergines in yoghurt and coriander. Again, you'll get to choose two items off our small but incredibly varied menu.
To accompany your dishes you'll also get to pick two side plates. Either Dum Aloo, Tea stepped chickpeas with dry fenugreek, Pulao rice or Indian Breads.
Finally, you'll move onto dessert, where you'll take your pick from either our Malai Kulfi or our Blood Orange and Payapa Sortbet. Neither will leave you disappointed.
It wouldn't be a celebration without some drinks to go with your dishes. So you'll also get to choose two cocktails (our favourite is Rum Gaar Ki Sholay), mocktails, beers, or glasses of wine to compliment your meal.
So a quick recap! You'll get to enjoy:
- 2 x small plates
- 2 x large plates
- 2 x slide plates
- 2 x desserts
- 2 x cocktails (or alternative drinks)
After your date, take the opportunity to stroll around Bristol's harbour or perhaps go to a screening at The Watershed. The options are endless!
